Scientific journals and conference publications can be published Open Access on TIB Open Publishing. The service is available to all scientific disciplines. TIB Open Publishing supports editors in publishing their publications - from the technical setup of publications on the platform, via the semi-automatic production of articles and contributions and their publication as well as with questions about formal quality criteria and data protection, to indexing the publication and crossref DOI registration. Our services
- The technical setup of the publications on our platform (including website, user roles, and plugins). Currently we are using OJS version 3.3.
- The semi-automatic production of articles and contributions and their publication (template-based basic XML workflow) (under development).
- Support and advice for editors on OJS and formal quality criteria.
- Supporting editors in indexing their journals and conference publications.
- The use of Crossref's plagiarism check software Similarity Check.
- Crossref DOI registration.
- The registration or transfer of an eISSN.
- Long-term archiving via TIB (TIB subjects) or Portico (non-TIB subjects).
- Conformity with data protection.
The cost of our service is primarily based on the number of articles or papers published. In addition, we charge a one-off fee for setting up a new journal or series on our platform. In addition, we charge a modest annual base fee to cover operating costs.
For example, the cost of a single conference proceedings volume containing 60 papers (PDF) in our Open Conference Proceedings series is approximately €3,000 net. For a journal publishing 15 articles (PDF, XML and HTML) per year, the annual running costs would amount to approximately €1,900 net.
