Abstract

In the present paper, the design, construction, and evaluation of a concentrating spherical heliostat are shown; curved facets were achieved by a mechanical design. Furthermore, a comparison between a flat heliostat and the concentrating heliostat is performed. The evaluations were made at the facilities of the Solar Platform of Hermosillo, in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, México.
